Beginner to intermediate rock climbing skills required. Hard. Technical and/or vertical, and may have overhangs. These hard climbs require specific climbing skills that most weekend climbers can attain. Hard to Difficult. Scramble up the gully, climbing slabs and around boulders, and following cairns for about an hour. The next section climbs a pitch up a dark chimney system for 45 meters. Continue scrambling and climbing easy rock (may need to rope up). Climb a pitch up the “three-step chimney,” then a squeeze chimney.

Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb : Byne. Peak is a young adult fiction novel by Roland Smith. Portrayed in the novel are the physical and emotional challenges that face a fourteen-year-old as he climbs Mount Everest as well as tall buildings in New York City after moving from Wyoming.
Peak won the National Outdoor Book Award (Children's Category). ReferencesAuthor: Roland Smith. This is one of the weakest climbing guide books I own. It's a small step up from a bunch of topo maps stabled together.
While the book is fine for telling you which climbs a certain cliff contains, most of the climb descriptions are weak or non-existent. The authors purposefully omit topos for many easy classic climbs like Cathedral Peak/5(5).
